On Tuesday February 13, OPH basketball took on Farina South Central.  This was the last regular season game and was hosted by Hutsonville.

In the JV game, the starters were Lucas Blessing, Caden Goodwin, Andrew Amburgey, RJ Hayes, and Owen Hackett.  This was a tough game for our Jv Team.  Though they okayed hard, they just couldn’t get things rolling against a very aggressive South Central team.  They lost the game with a score of 54-19.

Since this was the final home game at Hutsonville, the senior athletes and Hutsonville band members were recognized between games.

The variation game was action packed and intense.  The starters were Max Lewis, Will Callaway, Trevan Webster, Riley Blank, and Rowan Bailey.  The score was back and forth during the first quarter and was 15-12 at halftime with OPH ahead.  South central took a bigger lead in the second half, ending the third quarter with a score of 24-19 with South Central on top.  The last quarter of the game OPH fought back but couldn’t get around the tough South Central team with a final score of 34-32.

This OPH team has been so fun to watch all year.  The student section has showed up every game to cheer them on.  OPH will start regional play on Monday February 19th at 6 pm in Mt. Carmel, playing Mt.Carmel.  Come out and support these athletes and cheer them on to a victory.
