Senior Spotlight: Allison Dunlap

I had the opportunity to sit down with Allison Dunlap, a fellow classmate and life long friend of mine to ask her some questions about herself and some of her goals coming up.

It all started off by me saying “tell me about yourself.” Allison responded with “I laugh at everything. I’m not good at describing myself, and I like to wear hoodies.” I then had to ask her a more of a surprising question for most people. I asked her “what has been the greatest disappointment in your life?” She quickly jumped to her answer by saying “this years volleyball season. Things didn’t go as planned.”

We then talked about some of the classes she is taking right now. She told me she is taking three college classes; biology 4, marriage and family, and US history. She said “I enjoy them and I have a lot of fun, and it is definitely a lot more than I thought I was going to have my senior year.” Moving on from classes now I wanted to know about what she is planning on doing with college. I asked her if she is going to Clemson University because ever since I have known her she has been a big fan of them. She said that she is not going there because of how expensive it would be and she doesn’t want to leave home. She plans on going to LTC for her generals, and then she is going to transfer to Olney Central for the radiology program.

Ending the interview I asked her what she plans to do with her life. She was very quick to reply “I want to travel a lot, and be happy with the people around me. I want to be able to experience things good and bad, and in the end I would like to own a really pretty house. Last but not least, Macy Biggs is my best friend.”

Allison is a very determined and results oriented person, and with this mindset I have no doubt in my mind that she will do great things no matter where life takes her.
