Finally, the time has come for Christmas break!
Make sure over Christmas break you take time for your friends and family. Throughout our daily lives we get so busy with school, work, and our daily routines that we almost always forget to make time for those most important to us, our family, and friends. Enjoy your time away from the demanding daily routines. Christmas is a magical time of year that gets you in the spirit of giving and spending quality time with others.
My plan is to slow down and take part in what the Christmas season is all about, celebrating the joy, the hope, and the meaning of the season with my family. Ever since I have begun working more hours, I do not get to see them nearly as much so being able to take a few days off and spending time with my family over Christmas break will be a great gift. Over Christmas break my parents will take some time off work to spend quality time with my sister and me.
I remember when I was young, we would spend a lot of time running to different places for Christmas celebrations. Now we only go to one of my grandparents on Thanksgiving and one on Christmas. It makes it so much less stressful, and we enjoy the holiday season so much more.
This year Christmas is early in Christmas Break. We will celebrate Christmas at our house and then later in the day on Christmas we will go to my grandparent’s house in Robinson for dinner. Usually my uncle, aunt, and cousins are there as well.
The second week of Christmas break I will return to work. This will still be nice being that I will not be going straight from school to work! I will have to work New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, but I will probably still stay up to ring in 2024.
I know I do not show my family often enough how much I really do appreciate them. So, during this Christmas break I plan on spending as much time with them as possible, so they know I do care for them and appreciate them. They have always ensured this time of the year was special for my sister and I, which is cool in itself!
Also, be sure to get some extra sleep too over Christmas break; I know I will be doing this as well! Merry Christmas!
