Taylor Swift is at the top of the list of the most-streamed artists worldwide and in the US, according to Spotify Wrapped data that was provided by the streaming service on Wednesday, November 9th. It’s the first time in Swift’s career that she’s topped the year-end artist global list. With more than 26.1 billion streams globally, the singer overtook Bad Bunny, the chart leader from the previous three years, who now sits in second place this year.
Swift has finally made the Midnights gut wrenching exclusive song “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” available for streaming as a way of saying thank you to the swifties. It was previously limited to the unique CD that was offered for sale during the Eras tour.
Taylor Swift posts about this achievement on her social media pages to ler her fans, the swifties, know how thankful she is for them and that they helped her reach this achievement. Swift says, “Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me. We’ve seriously had THE MOST fun this year out there on tour and now this. Are you serious. So I was trying to think of a way to thank you, and a lot of you have been asking me to put “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” on streaming… so here you go! You can finally listen EVERYWHERE now!”
