As season 32 of Dancing with the Stars comes to an close, all there is left to the season in the Finale. The couples danced their last performances together on Tuesday night. Each couple performed a style of dance they didn’t excel in during the season, called a redemption dance. The couples also danced a freestyle dance, which has no rules and could show off their personality. Jason and Daniella, Xochitl and Val, Charity and Artem, Ariana and Pasha, and Alyson and Sasha fought to win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The couples dances and scores are listed below:

• Xochitl and Val performed a redemption foxtrot and scored at 30. They then received a 30 for their freestyle dance. This gave them a perfect score of 120.
• Alyson and Sasha did a redemption salsa and scored a 25. They received a 28 for their freestyle dance. Their total score of the night was 104/120.
• Charity and Artem did a tango as their redemption dance and scored a 29. Charity then showed off her cheerleading skills in her freestyle dance and scored a perfect 30. Their final score was 118/120.
• Ariana and Pasha did a samba as their redemption dance and scored 30. Ariana’s powerful “Run the World” freestyle earned them a 29. These perfect dances gave them a total of 117/120.
• Jason and Daniella did a redemption foxtrot scoring a 30. They had a fun, energetic freestyle and scored another perfect 30. Their final score of the night was 117/ 120.

Along with these dances there were a couple others that filled this 3 hour long finale. All of the stars previously eliminated from the season came back to perform in the opening number. The pros did multiple dances, including a Christmas themed dance sung by co-hosts Alfanso Ribeiro and Jullianne Hough. Four former Dancing with the Stars winners, Hannah Brown, host Alfonso Ribeiro, and Rashad Jennings, also joined the pros in this dance. The reining champions, Charlie D’Amelio and Mark Ballas, also performed together. And lastly, one of the finalists Jason Mraz performed his song “I feel like dancing” with the pros dancing around him.

The results are in! In 5th place is Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber. In 4th place is Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev. 3rd place was Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov. Runner up was Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach. And the 2023 winner of Dancing with the Stars, winning the first ever Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy, was Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy.
