Since the announcement of the cast for our Winter play, the Drama Club has been hard at work practicing lines, and creating choreography for their fall production. Some members are learning dances from the 20’s and some are learning to tango. Others are learning eighties song lyrics, and other “ugghing” their way through the production. Our actors, Devin Lawyer, Ahlya Abel, Alix Bennett, Cydney Pethel, Zoey Beabout, Carter Nelson, Sienna Freeman, Chris Dunlap, Brylee Tingley, Autumn Taylor, Kailyn Shoulders, Jacob Christine, Zoey Rinesmith, Raylynn Rodgers and Addi McNair, have been laughing their way through practices as they start to weave the drama through the scenes, adding movements, and dramatic pauses throughout them.
The “History of Dating” will be a comedic and fun filled play for all ages. With blast from the past for some and a look back for others, this play will dive into the different parts of history and how dating has changed throughout it.
Our professors are looking over their lesson plans and preparing for the lecture coming soon! Catch the lecture in December. It will take place in the PHS Gym on Friday, December 8th at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, December 10th at 2:00 pm.
ALSO! A few members of our Drama Club will also perform a short but fun Christmas Play for our local nursing homes and maybe even the grade school! We will bring a new light to the beloved holiday this year with Rollin’ in Dough in Mistletoe. With a new spin on some of your favorite Christmas songs and characters Rollin’ in Dough in Mistletoe will be a fun and comedic play for all of the locals.
