Before the season gets into full swing, the OPH girls basketball team have already started their big fundraiser for the year. While the girls have already put in the work to sell raffle tickets during Labor Day weekend, and at home football games, they are hoping to raise some more money by selling pizzas.
The girls are selling pizzas from Lucia’s Italian Restaurant in Effingham, IL. If you have never had Lucia’s pizza before, now is the chance to see what all the excellent talk is about. For just $17, you can order a medium sized cheese, sausage, or pepperoni pizza. These pizzas would be something that you could just throw in the oven on a night that you don’t feel like doing anything extravagant for dinner. It is also something that the whole family is guaranteed to enjoy no matter what.
With the money that is raised, the girls will be able to pay for their travel suits, backpacks, and shooting shirts. This year new coaches, Devin Turner, Ryan Kidwell, and Hayden Johnson, thought it would be nice for all of the girls to have all of the same stuff. The backpacks are especially nice to have because some girls might have had a hard time finding the right bag to use.
If you are interested in buying pizzas, you have until Monday November 6th to get your orders in. Some of the Palestine girls that you can contact include Alyssa Tipton, Autumn Taylor, Emily Rachoy, Addi McNair, and Cydney Pethtel. You can also check out Facebook as Coach Devin and several girls have put their order forms there.
