On Wednesday, October 11, 2023 the Student Senate put on their annual Homecoming parade.
The parade line up included (in order):
- The Chief of Police
- Fire trucks
- Principal Will
- Honor Guard
- Band
- Flower girl and crown bearer
- Freshman attendants
- Freshman float
- Sophomore attendants
- Sophomore float
- Junior attendants
- Junior float
- Senior candidates
- Senior float
- Cheerleaders
- Football players
- Other floats
- Other entries
- Firetruck
The parade lineup started at 5 and the parade started at 5:30. The parade route was from the High School parking lot, to South on Main Street, West on LaMotte Street, then ended at the Grade School around the football field for the chili supper, games, and bonfire.
The freshman attendants are Kailyn Shoulders and Andrew Amburgy. The sophomore attendants are Autumn Taylor and Brody Beabout. The junior attendants are Haylee Smallwood and Holden Sipes. The senior queen candidates are Ahlya Abel, Briley Beabout, Zoey Beabout, and Charlie Burkett. The senior king candidates are Kaden Bonesteel, Wade Bickers, Jack Hawkins, and Aidyn Piper.
Ahlya and Kaden, Charlie and Jack, Briley and Jack, and Zoey and Aidyn are all the couples.
Along the parade route, there was a steady number of community members there to watch the parade.
We have yet to find out the winner of the float competition. We will find out today during 5th hour. This could potentially be the determinant for first place in the overall Homecoming competition, announced after Friday’s Jag Day.
