Tomorrow, September 13, marks the beginning of the 60th annual Fall Festival in Lawrenceville, IL. The festival will run through Saturday, September 16.
Last year the festival was forced to move to Wishnick Park due to the concern of safety caused by falling buildings around the courthouse square. However, the city is glad to announce that the Fall Festival will return to the courthouse square this year where it has been held for numerous years.
There will be a ton of craft and food vendors for everyone to enjoy. Here are just a few of the food vendors that will be there: Kolb’s Culinary Creations will have a variety of tacos and other Mexican food to pick from, and Pub ‘N’ Grub from Jasper will also be there with their delicious pulled pork nachos and other foods for the whole family to enjoy.
There will also be entertainment provided by children from Lawrenceville and Red Hill. On September 13th, Red Hill 5th & 6th cheer, Junior Pro cheer, and cheer teams from the Red Hill Jr High and High School will perform. They will be followed by cheer teams from Lawrenceville Junior Pro, Parkview Junior High School, and Lawrenceville High School. On September 14th, the Lawrenceville County Tumbling will have a performance as well. All performances will begin at 5:30.
The Fall Festival is a family-friendly event as it includes fun for everyone. There will be carnival rides brought to the festival by Brady’s Amusements. Each ride will require one ticket. A sheet of tickets can be bought for the discounted price of $22 until 12 pm tomorrow, but any purchase after that will be at full price.
