On September 28th to October 1st, Vincennes will be filled with sound waves as the First City Music Festival goes on. The festival will be located at the French Commons on 375 Bayou Street, in Vincennes.
The musical talents of Bill & Jillian Nershi with Jason Hann, Sam Grishman Project, The Music of Garcia/Grisman, Armchair Boogie, Henhouse Prowlers, Fireside Collective, Sicard Hollow, Dirty Grass Players, Benjamin Dakota Rogers, Chain Station, Dig Deep, One Way Traffic, New Old Calvary, Mountain Dru Bluegrass Experience, Nectar Valley, Joe’s Truck Stop, The Hammer & The Hatchet, Cody Williams, The Fun Dunn’s, Tim Pike, Lindsey, James Williams, The Heckraisers, Wood + Wire Band (from Vincennes, IN), Wicked Ways, Caitlin Spangler & Dave Sisson, Nolan Strupeck, and Artist at Large: Allie Kral will be playing at the festival.
While it is mainly all about the music, there will also be free yogo class available, kid friendlt events, and many vendors selling all kinds of items for your enjoyment.
If you are an aspiring musician you can bring your instrument(s) and play to the rhythm of your soul.
On Thursday the day kicks off at noon and ends at 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday the jams continue from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday the bands will hit the stage once more from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Price wise you have a couple options:
- The Weekend Pass: $100
- Single Day Pass: $55 (Friday-Sunday) (Thursday it is discounted $10)
- A Tent Site costs: $45
- RV site: $55
- Parking: $5 per vehicle per day (if you stay over night you only have to pay once)
