Labor Day weekend is the busiest weekend in Palestine. So much goes on, but nobody thinks about what happens behind the scenes.
At the Palestine Chamber of Commerce, Miss Vickie and many others put in countless hours selling tickets, shirts, hats, and campsites. They also deal with spots in the parade, spots on main street for Saturday morning, and they also have to deal with all of the problems that come along throughout the weekend and the weeks before.
While planning for an event this big is super stressful, they keep it all together. If it wasn’t for them, Labor Day wouldn’t be as amazing it is.
