Last Home Game At Oblong

OPH on the offensive end of the court

The OPH girls basketball team played their last game home game at Oblong. The team took a hard loss from Newton. The game was one that the team should be able to learn from as they continue to play this week to hopefully get another win in before the end of the season.

OPH played well with Newton the first 5 minutes of the first quarter. After those 5 minutes it’s like a which was flipped and OPH was not playing together, making dumb passes, and forcing unneeded shots; ending the first quarter with only 7 points. The second quarter OPH went nearly scoreless, until Shara Coffman clinched 3 points from the free throws line.

After the half OPH came out and chipped away at the score but couldn’t catch completely up to Newton. OPH lost 50-22.

OPH fought hard that game and now are working at practice this week to win a couple more games before the 2022-23 seasons comes to an end.
