What are poppy flowers? Poppies are flowers those honoring veterans wear on Veterans Day; they are to be worn on the left breast above the heart. This is to show respect for our veterans and what they fought for. Veterans don’t usually wear red poppy flowers on Veterans Day because that is the day to celebrate the living veterans. They wear them on Memorial Day until Armistice Day. White poppy flowers are worn for the fallen soldiers, and red poppy flowers are worn for our living veterans.

Veterans will sell these flowers to honor every fallen soldier that has fought in the war from 1914 to 1018.  Veterans wear these to represent the sacrifices every soldier has made for our country. It reminds them of everything they did for our freedoms and rights.
