On to Sectionals!!

As some sports are coming to an end, there is one sport that isn’t quite done yet and that is cross country. Our very own Bowen Ramsey has qualified for Sectionals and will be running Saturday the 29th at 11 am in Champaign IL.
At the meet that he qualified in he had a time of 19 minutes and 43 seconds. There were 80 kids at the meet and only the top 40 would qualify and he placed 36 out of that 40.
After speaking to Bowen and speaking a little bit to his twin brother I gathered that Bowen is a little bit nervous but not really, and he has high hopes but doesn’t want to jinx himself.
Bowen says he prepares for Sectionals by practicing more and trying to knock off time and he has already knocked off 20 seconds. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you are running that is amazing! Bowen told me that the part he is least excited for is the drive there, which is nearly a 2 hour drive in a van with his coaches and his girlfriend.
His twin brother Bennen told me he doesn’t have very high hopes for his brother and thinks he will not move onto the next level but that is just brotherly love, am I right?
