The Cross Country Brothers

Bennen and Bowen Ramsey joined Cross Country when they became Freshman. Bennen said, “We run cross country because we just like to run.” Bowen agreed and added that they like to run together. Cross Country is made up of teams that are usually about 6 to 9 players. They run 3.1 miles on natural terrain. Then the runners are scored by points, first place gets one point, second place gets two points, etc. Then the member with the lowest score wins. Bennen and Bowen agreed that the reason they love cross country is the thrill of beating their own personal best time, along with beating others.

Cross Country was originated from the Crick Run held almost every year since 1838 at Rugby School in England. Now it is world wide and students across the globe run those miles and hope to get the lowest score.
