Morgan Knoblett is the only Palestine High School track team member who qualified for state in track. She has worked very hard to get here and at sectionals she proved that she can make it to state. At sectionals on May 12, 2022, she placed first in long jump, and she was 35th overall in Illinois. Now she’s well on her way to state and success. Long jump is the event she will be participating in at state, and we hope she does well. State will be held in Charleston at Eastern University, on May 19, 2022. 

Her favorite event by far is long jump; she says that running the 400 meter dash doesn’t even come close to being her favorite event that she does. She really enjoys long jump, and she will continue doing it through her high school years. Mind you, she is only a sophomore, and she has come so far already. So many great things are waiting for her. 

As Morgan left Palestine High School on Wednesday to head for EIU and the state competition, students in Palestine High School formed a tunnel for her to go through in the gym so that everyone could wish her well.
