Drama Club took a trip to Charleston on March 2, 2022. We visited Eastern Illinois University to see the play.

We left at 8 in the morning as soon as school started, and we got there at around 9:30. As soon as we got there the play started. It was a play, but it was more of a musical actually. All of the cast in the play had amazing voices. I’m sure they could be famous singers if they really wanted to.

After the play they took us on a tour of their theater department. They showed us their two stages, and they also showed us behind the scenes of the play. The director took us through a few different rooms to show us how they made the play possible. They had four dressing rooms, a costume room, and a back hallway behind the stage. The reason they have the hallway behind the stage is so that the cast can get to where they need to be without being seen by everyone.

After the tour we ate at the food court in the Student Union. Most of us ate Chick-fil-a and it was really good. All of us had a really good time there, it was a fun trip.
