Palestine High School is always looking for new ways to improve the school, and making sure the kids get better learning opportunities.
One thing they have added is the synchronous classroom; which is a room that has microphones and smart boards set up for online learning classes. One of the classes that takes place in this room is Spanish with an LTC instructor. Instead of driving to LTC, there is a zoom meeting that takes place in place of the class.
With technology being involved not everything goes smoothly every time. There are still audio issues and internet issues, but the teachers do whatever they can to make it work.
All in all the synchronous classroom is a good idea and a good way to let the students get more learning opportunities.
