Don’t we all have that stress on the first day of school of “OMG what am I supposed to wear?” “What do I do with my hair?” “How dressed up do I get?” Let’s admit it, we’ve all been there! Let’s talk to fashion icon Charlie Burkett, while talking to Charlie I got insight of how she decided what she is going to wear and her process of elimination. Charlie told me that she picked out her outfit weeks before school! She of course had to wear her favorite pair of pink shoes and picked a pair of shorts that her mom had recently bought her. She knew these shorts would be perfect with a plain shirt to compliment the patterned shorts. When it comes to hair, makeup and jewelry Charlie keeps it all simple, with the same makeup routine, with a little face makeup and some lushes lashes. She curls her hair everyday “because curled hair goes with everything”. Charlie wears the same jewelry including rings, necklace, bracelets, and earrings. One thing Charlie told me about her everyday look is that her nails are always done!

Now let’s talk to Shara Coffman. For the first day of school, Shara wore new blue jeans, a new tank top, new jewelry, and her favorite black shoes. Her hair was obviously curled. And she too picked out her outfit far ahead of time. Shara wears the same necklaces and earrings with her apple watch every single day. Shara enjoys dressing up for the first day because over the summer she worked in a nursing home wearing some very un-flattering scrubs… yikes! Shara needed to make a good impression Friday entering the school as our new fair queen as well. When picking her outfit Shara had some tough decisions to make, so I got some insight of what was going through her head when finding the perfect outfit. Friday, she decided to keep it simple yet cute, like Charlie, she wore simple shoes and a simple shirt to compliment the new, very cute jeans. But she did well at dressing up this outfit by layering her necklaces and making sure all of her jewelry is the same color including necklaces and earrings. She curled her hair to give dimension to the high neck tank top and sandals with above the ankle length jeans to give her a taller appearance.

In conclusion, it doesn’t matter what you wear to school as long as you are comfortable with your choice. But I hope for some of you, this makes your daily outfit picking much easier.
